This resort is one of the biggest in the Alps. It’s said of Livigno that the snow is a sure bet from December through to March, and this year you’ll most likely be able to count on it until the beginning of May, the resort remains open until 1stMay. We recommend this resort for the variety of its pistes, the ultra-modern facilities that meet with the needs of different practices; alpine skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers… and in particular the landscapes, that make it one of the most beautiful winter sports resorts in Italy.
Presentation of the Alpine ski domain:
Ski period: from the end of November to the beginning of May
Number of pistes: 115 pistes at different altitudes, from 1,800 to 2,900 metres high.
Skill level: there’s something for everyone with 12 black, 37 red and 29 blue pistes.

Different activities are proposed
- Alpine Skiing
With its easily accessible and modern facilities, Livigno is recognised for its high-end ski offering and has rapidly become a very popular resort. In addition to the various pistes, you can also enjoy yourself in the snowpark.
- Cross-country Skiing
The domain features 30 km of pistes, 5 km of which can be covered with artificial snow. You can practice the biathlon, which combines cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.
Every year in December, Livigno hosts La Sgambeda, the famous cross-country skiing marathon that stretches over 35 km of pistes.
Livigno is also known for being a paradise for snowboarders as the slopes are often very wide, and there’s the snowpark as well, that offers an array of jumps, a halfpipe and boardercross pistes. There are also zones equipped with kickers of different sizes, rails and other structures that can be used in complete freedom and security.
- Nocturnal skiing: possible every Thursday evening from 8.30 to 10.30 pm

Which itinerary would you recommend to those looking for sensations?
To experience a unique sensation when skiing, we would suggest taking Sunrise at Carosello 3000.

Which route allows for the longest descent?
The longest descent runs from the top of the Valfin ski-lift down to the Teola De Monte della Neve ski-lift.
Where would you suggest taking a lunch break?
If you’re skiing on the Carosello 3000 side, then you can stop for a lunch break at the restaurant that you’ll find at the summit “Ristoro Carosello 3000”
If you’re on the Mottolino side, then the “Mottolino M’Eating Point” a warm welcome.
To make the most of the sun, where would you recommend skiing in the morning? …the afternoon?
In the morning, it’s best to ski on the Carosello 3000 side, in the afternoon on the Mottolino side.
