Several ski resorts are open from November

We offer you the chance to discover several ski resorts you can enjoy during the week or on a weekend, without waiting for December.

Several ski resorts should have the right conditions to open their slopes in November. We will let you know which ski resorts are open in Austria, Italy, Switzerland and France.

In Austria, a few ski areas in the Tyrol province have ideal snow conditions to open in mid-October, such as Kitzbühel which will open several ski runs at this time. The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski resort will host its first skiers from 15 November 2018. At Ischgl, the season starts on 22 November 2018.

In Switzerland, the glaciers open from October, followed by the Andermatt ski resort on 9 November and then new openings each week. The Cran Montana ski resort opens on 17 November, followed by Davos Klosters and Engadin St Moritz in the third week of November.
InItaly, there are also a dozen resorts that open gradually in November. Ploseto Bressannone opens at the end of October, followed by Livigno on 17 November and Courmayeur, Civetta, Alleghe, Zoldo, Selva and Palafavera from 24 November.
In France, several ski resorts will welcome you to their snow-covered slopes in the third week of November, although many only open in early December. Several stations such as Tignes and Chamonix are exceptions to the rule, followed by Val d’Isère and Val Thorens.
